Loans Halifax holds no file on you. The pages are static files with no form, no account, no tracking cookie and no analytics script, and the application behind the apply button runs on a separate lender matching service with its own privacy policy. This page lists what the site can see and how to reach us.
What the site records
The site records only the standard server log that the delivery network keeps for every request: the time, the page requested and a shortened network address, held for a short period to keep the site online and to block abuse. No name is attached to a log line and the log is matched against nothing else. No analytics script or advertising tag loads on any page.
No form lives here
No page on loanshalifax.ca takes anything you type: there is no sign up box, no calculator that remembers a figure, no chat window and no comment field. The application form belongs to the lender matching service that the apply button opens, and that service shows its own privacy policy before it asks its first question. Your name, your pay deposits, the read-only bank connection and the sharing of your file with lenders that hold a Nova Scotia permit all happen there, not here.

What the apply button sends
The apply button sends one site code and nothing about you. The code tells the matching service that the visit started on loanshalifax.ca, so that a referral fee can be paired with a funded loan as the referral disclosure describes. It carries no name, no page title, no time of click and no location, and the link is set so your browser passes no referrer along with it.
Cookies and local storage
This site sets no cookies and writes nothing to local storage on your phone or computer. Your browser may keep a cached copy of a page so it opens faster on the ferry or on a bus with a weak signal; that copy sits on your own device. Once you reach the matching service it may set cookies of its own, under its own policy.

The photographs
The photographs on the service and area pages are stock images from Pexels under its free licence, credited to the photographer on each page. They show Halifax and Nova Scotia subjects: the waterfront, the Town Clock on Citadel Hill, the lighthouse at Peggys Cove, a street after a snowfall, a person at a kitchen table with a phone. None shows a visitor, a borrower or anyone who has written to us.
Email, access requests and corrections
To ask what we hold about you, or to report a wrong sentence on a page, write to the email address in the footer and name the page and the line. We answer within two working days. An access request will nearly always come back empty, because the site stores nothing about visitors; a correction is made once the figure is checked against the source, and the date at the top of the page moves when it goes live.
Messages are kept until the question is closed, then deleted. We keep no mailing list and pass no address to a lender or to the matching service. Please do not attach pay stubs, bank statements or a loan agreement to an email; we have no use for them.

The law that applies
The federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, PIPEDA, governs how private sector organizations in Nova Scotia handle personal information, and it binds the matching service and every lender that receives your file. This site holds nothing for you to request, correct or delete beyond the log line described above. The about page explains who publishes the site and how it is paid, and the contact page sets out what we can and cannot help with.
